Technology has changed a lot in the last 10 years. Many manual processes are now computer aided to achieve greater accuracy and speed. This is also true with Art. A human Artist can now create a painting of a photograph in less than a day. Instead of brush and paint the Artist uses a pressure sensitive digital tablet together with a hand held stylus and customized software. To be sure, the computer doesn't paint the artwork by itself. Computers cannot create a painting from photos any more than a word processor can replace an Author and write a novel. Fortunately, such creative works of Art still require imagination from the human Artist or Author. What computers can do however is speed up the process which, in turn, also lowers the cost.
